A 16,9 km team time trial from San Vincenzo to Donoratico opened Tirreno-Adriatico 2012. Quite good performance for Lampre-ISD, that obtained the 12th place recording a time 46″ higher than the one of the winner GreenEdge.
The performance of the blue-fuchsia team increases his value if we consider that Lampre-ISD precedes part of the teams of the top riders for the overall standing.

“After we analyzed the stage classification, I value our team time trial as quite good – sport director Maini said – We could have recorded a time of 10″ lower, but we made some little mistakes during the stage. Anyway, we had to face the wind that began to blow during our performance and that damaged the other teams that followed”.
