Antonio Bevilacqua in 1946

Just forty years ago died Antonio Bevilacqua.
It was March 29, 1972.
He was born in Santa Maria di Sala in 1918 and died for a road accident in Mestre – Venice.

Bevilacqua is one of the many athletes who with his victories has honored and given prestige to venetian people and all cycling fans.
He was one of the protagonists of the vintage golden years of great cycling in 50’s.

Just in 1950 wore the jersey of world champion pursuit on track with the colors of Wilier Triestina.
And in 1950 with Fiorenzo Magni won the Trofeo Baracchi. A couple time trial that miss a lot at the nowadays cycling fans (latest edition in 1990)

These and many other reasons have pushed Wilier Triestina to dedicate to the venetian rider one model of its Single Speed​​ Collection.
