This is the hardest race in the world. The longest and more respected one.
It starts on the pacific coast, accross 12 states, 88 counties and 350 communities. The finish line, after 3000 miles, on the atlantic coast.
A race born in 1982. This year edition n° 31.
Even Wilier Triestina was present on race to support the Twenty.Six team. The youngest team to win this race.
The athletes have rode the 4800 km in 5 days, 18 hours and 55 minutes. The fastest team!
The staff who support the team counted 15 person, that follow the athletes with cars, camper and van for the mechanical assistance.
The victory obtained with an average speed of 35 km/h brings Wilier Triestina to the highest step of the podium with three different bikes, used in different type of the route.
