Four years have gone. The last world victory for the italian national team.
It was the Varese world cycling championship.

Last victory for Italy. Last world victory for Wilier Triestina.
Alessandro Ballan (athlete of team Lampre) with a superb race won the race with an incredible shot at 3 km from the finish line.

The first victory of Cento1 in a race. Lots of successes in sales after.

It was the 2008.

On this week we are waiting for an italian success. Just to do better than last year in Copenhagen.
Valkenburg could be the right place for a victory for the italian team.

Even this year, Wilier Triestina will be present to support Diego Ulissi in the road race e Adriano Malori in the individual Time Trial.

Ignoring the tactical and technical aspects, in the last 40 years, in those years with 2 in the final number, Italy won every time.

1972 – Marino Basso won in Gap.
1982 – Beppe Saronni won in Goodwood, England.
1992 – Gianni Bugno won his second world championship in Benidorm, Spagna.
2002 – Mario Cipollini won in Zolder, Belgium.

This year is the 2012.
Who will win?
