The announcement that Wilier Triestina will sponsor Team Colombia next year in the UCI Professional Continental calendar has generated palpable excitement. It has the makings for a season full of great results.
Of course the fans of Team Colombia will be able to keep close attention to the team of Claudio Corti.

If you look through the roster of the Italo-Columbian team it is apparent that Team Colombia is one of the best climbing teams around. And the motto of the team reinforces this feeling: “inspired by climbing”.

Here are some of the names of the athletes whose exploits give a preview for the upcoming season:
Fabio Duarte, born in 1986, fast climber, U23 World Champion in Varese in 2008.
Darwin Atapuma, born in 1988, climber, winner of the Pordoi stage of the Giro del Trentino 2012.
Edwin Avila, rouleur, born in 1989, World Champion (points race) on the track in 2011.
Johan Chaves, born in 1990, climber, winner of the Tour de l’Avenir 2011 and GP Camaiore 2012.

All riders will be equipped with the Zero.7, the most advanced Wilier bike. Super light (perhaps too much so for the UCI regulations) and stiff. Ideal for those whose battlefields are the climbs. The bikes will be supplied in four different colors, with SRAM/FSA groups and VISION wheels
