ONE WEEK TO GO: THE 95TH GIRO D’ ITALIA IS LOOKING FOR PROTAGONISTS

The 5 of May is getting close quickly. There’s still a week at the start of 95 ^ Giro d’ Italia and the participating teams are showing their plus.
Never before we seen a prediction not obvious and open to different alternatives.

The bookmakers have no doubts. The conquer of the pink jersey seems a deal between Michele Scarponi (quoted at 3) and Ivan Basso (as in 5).
But there are many variables. As seen in recent times the two captains of Liquigas and Lampre-ISD could be beaten.
Bettors aim to Damiano Cunego too (quoted at 10), added in support of Michele Scarponi. Among the Italians Domenico Pozzovivo too (Colnago-CSF-Bardiani) appears to have some remote hope.

For Pozzovivo, considered by all the most colombian of the italians, the quote has increased after the victory at Punta Veleno in the recent Tour of Trentino.
Roman Kreuziger of Team Astana seems ok to be the third most quoted winner. He has a team built for him and, unlike a year ago, the shape seems better.

Finally Jose Rujano (quoted at 8).
He is the captain of the Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela, the team directed by Gianni Savio.
He has already won a podium at Giro d’ Italia in 2005. He is a pure climber and he loves the impossible arrivals (remember the victory last year at the Grossglockner) and seems to have regained the will to win.

Let’s wait just to be transported by the magic of the Giro d’ Italia.
