An Italian protagonists in the 3rd stage of the GIRO … unfortunately in negative way. In fact Roberto Ferrari (rider of the team Androni Giocattoli) triggered the fearful fall less than 150 meters from the finish, which involved some of the protagonists of the sprint.

Taylor Phinney reports a badly bruised on his foot but, Mark Cavendish crossed the finish line stoically with the bike on his shoulders and Sacha Modolo (he did not seem to have brought a great damage).
For the record, the winner was Australian Matthew Goss (GreenEdge-Orica) who had it easy on Juan José Haedo (Saxo Bank) and Tyler Farrar (Garmin-Barracuda).
Now it’s time to heal the wounds. The rest day, tomorrow, will be really valuable.
Cyclists are leaving Denmark to fly to Italy.
Wednesday, in Verona with the TTT.
Will be Taylor Phinney able to keep the Maglia Rosa?
